Announcements

We are collecting food each month to benefit either Angel’s Closet in Roanoke Rapids or the Sheriff’s Food Pantry in Halifax. A collection box is located near the nursery in the White-Hurst building for your food items. Food collected in February will be given to the Sheriff’s Food Pantry in Halifax.Monday, February 13 – The Ernelle Brooks Mission Involvement Group will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Ralph’s Barbecue.

Thursday, February 16 – The men’s church basketball league begins this evening. Rosemary will play Victory 1 at 8:30 p.m. at Calvary. The complete schedule is posted on the Upcoming Events bulletin board.

Sunday, February 19 – Brenda Gray with Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina will be our guest speaker. She will bring with her boys from Aydlett-Davis Cottage in Kinston to participate in the service with her. A donation lunch to benefit Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina will be held in the fellowship center following worship. A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board outside Joy’s office.

Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18 – North Carolina Baptists on Mission 2017 Missions Conference at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Program personalities include John Ortberg, Anne Graham Lotz, Gary Chapman, Jennifer Rothschild, Terry Rae, Taylor Field and music by the Annie Moses Band. Volunteers that participated in Hurricane Matthew response can pick up a commemorative pin as a way to remember those in need and as a way for Baptists on Mission to say thank you for your work.
